EBOO IV Therapy in Marble Falls, Texas
EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation and is the most advanced and cutting-edge form of ozone treatment available in the world today. What do I need to do to schedule an EBOO appointment?
You do not need to be an established patient at Roots Integrative Medicine to receive this therapy, however, if you are not already an established patient, there are also a few required labs that must be completed prior to receiving the therapy, such as G6PD, CMP, CMP, PTT, PT, INR. This order can be written for you by our provider. When scheduling, we will also make sure there are no contraindications to receiving this therapy and make sure to answer any questions.
The other essential component you need for an EBOO treatment is 2 good veins (one in each arm)! If you have had issues being stuck/blood draws in the past this may not be the best therapy for you. If there are any questions regarding this, we happily offer a free “vein check” by our nurse any time prior to the 48-hour cancelation window for the therapy.
If this is the patient’s first exposure to ozone therapy, it is recommended to start with a standard MAH/UVBI prior to doing EBOO. This is to assess for response and make sure the patient tolerates things well. Patients may need to titrate up to a full dose of EBOO depending on the response.
We also offer an IV Establish visit with our provider (up to 30 minutes). This visit is $150 and can be done on the phone. This is for us to answer any questions regarding EBOO and help create an IV therapy regimen best suited for you.

What can I expect and how long will this therapy take?
EBOO works in a closed loop circuit. Blood will be drawn from one arm, pass through a dialysis filter (where it is ozonated) and then pass through a UV light spectrum and reintroduced into the other arm. The entire treatment takes about 1 hour to complete and approximately 2 liters of blood is filtered through the treatment. Low dose heparin is used during this treatment to prevent any clotting. It is recommended to eat a high protein meal/snack prior to treatment and be well hydrated.
How many treatments are recommended?
The number of treatments recommended is individualized per patient and treatment plans can be discussed with the health care provider.
The number of treatment sessions and the ozone dosage administered will depend on the patient’s overall health, age, and the main condition from which the patient is suffering. The following are general guidelines:
- For wellness/optimization/maintenance 1 therapy can be done as needed/desired
- For Chronically ill patients, it is typically recommended to do 1 therapy a week for four to six weeks. Most patients will start to notice improvements between the 2nd and 4th session. This is highly individualized and recommendations regarding treatments should be discussed with your provider.
